Terms of Service for SMS Communications through Ballot Scout

Service Description

Enhanced Voting partners with your state or local election office to provide you information on the status of your ballot. We will update you when we learn that the status of your ballot changes. Your state or local election office determines which messages you will receive.

Some examples include when your ballot is printed, sent by your election office, delivered to you, sent by you to the election office, received by the election office, accepted, and rejected. You may also receive reminders about the timing of the election and whether your ballot has been returned.

Opting Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just reply STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send the SMS message STOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.

After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Help & Support

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance. We also recommend that you contact your local election office for support.

You may also email smshelp@enhancedvoting.com.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message Frequency & Fees

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive messages during each election period for which you have a mailed ballot being tracked.

You will receive messages when the status of your tracked ballot changes, typically totaling no more than six messages per ballot per election.

If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
